How to find us on foot

We are in Sheppards Row, EX8 1PW, close to the junction of the Parade and Exeter Road. (Turn off Exeter Road at the Exmouth Arms)

The nearest Railway Station is Exmouth.

Buses to Exeter Road or the Parade: 57, 7, 97, 98

Buses to the Strand: 157, 357, 57

If you are driving there is very little parking close to the Museum, the nearest car parks are in Union Street/the London Inn and in Imperial Road outside the Leisure Centre and close to the Railway Station. There is some on street parking off Exeter Road but it’s in high demand and may only be for a short period.

WE OPEN APRIL 2024 until 2nd November 2024 (CLOSED in the Winter)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday : 10:00 til 16:00

Saturday: 10:00 til 13:00

Please note, we are Closed on Fridays and Sundays (except by special arrangement).

Do you wish we were open for your family group or an outing for your club or society?  We frequently host local organisations such as schools and clubs, the Brownies for instance and the WI.  We open by arrangement on a day we are normally closed or of an evening.  We just need some good advance notice and a chat about any special topics of interest.  We can do this even in the closed winter period, however, the buildings will be cold!

The most reliable way to get in touch is to email. There is an answerphone at the Museum but the message may not be picked up quickly during weekends and the closed winter period.  You can also leave a message through Facebook on Messenger. We DO want to talk to you!
