Dickensian Festival 2024

With storm Darragh knocking on our door visitors to our Dickensian night were very low, but the ones that did visit had a great time. Stewards dressed up and assisted with the few games we ran, table skittles, name the lady and a the bran tub, not to mention the silent auction all helped to bring us in some money. The Salvation Army served up hot drinks and warm mince pies kindly donated by Moore’s pasties, Andrew from The Salvation Army played carols on his trumpet, which sounded out across Sheppards Row, The Exmouth Arms serving Mulled Wine and warm mince pies too, £30 on the door, There was a Silent Auction with prizes donated by local businesses all went to raising fund of £227 to the museum

Dickensian Festival 8th December 2023

The magic of a Dickensian Christmas certainly came to The Exmouth Museum. Gifts for the treasure hunt, lucky dip, Christmas hamper and silent auction were very kindly donated by local businesses. Visitors were able to see what it was like in bygone days. A very successful event.
The downstairs rooms of the Museum were open to visitors for the evening at a reduced entry fee of only £1.00 per adult, children free and were able to meet some of the volunteers and discover what Exmouth was like in bygone days and also stock up on some stocking fillers with our selection of gifts and Exmouth Museum memorabilia.
