The winter of 2022/23 has seen the museum have major work carried out with the original Tack Room of the stables, which
date from the mid 19th century being completely gutted and transformed into the new Visitor Reception Area.. This has been carried out by museum volunteers who have put in many hours of hard work to give visitors a warm welcome in the coming season. We could not have done all this without the generous support we have received in the form of materials and time donated to the museum from the following Exmouth businesses, The Kitchen Studio, Tim Wright Plastering, Jewsons, Carpet King, MPS Windows Glass and Wilsons Paints. For this the Museum thank them most warmly.
The Museum decided to hold an Opening Ceremony to which The Town Crier Roger Bourgein, MP Simon Jupp, The Mayor Steve Gazzard, and Geoff Perriam who has done over the years such a lot of the Museum. He was presented with a framed certificate by Carole Evershed who is on the Committee.
